What Is a Single-Sided Magnet

A single-sided magnet features strong magnetism on one side and weak magnetism on the other side. It realizes significant magnetic enhancement on one side through shielding technology with galvanized iron sheet and other materials.

It works by magnetic refraction to weaken the magnetism of the wrapped side and strengthen the opposite side. It is not strictly magnetic only on one side.

Single-sided magnets are generally made of rare earth NdFeB magnets. The common shapes are round and square, and most are wrapped with PVC material.

Applications of Single-Sided Magnets

• Packaging industry: widely used in gift boxes, mobile phone boxes, tobacco and alcohol packaging boxes, MP3 boxes, mooncake boxes and other packaging products.
• Luggage and leather goods industry: used for bags, briefcases, travel bags, magnetic phone and tablet cases, wallets and other leather products.
• Stationery industry: applied to notebooks, whiteboard fasteners, file folders, magnetic nameplates and other stationery items.
• Advertising industry: single-sided magnets can be used to make movable advertising signs for various promotional scenarios.
