    Accurately defining magnet procurement requirements is critical to improving efficiency, avoiding production errors, and ensuring quality. For NdFeB magnets, unclear requirements often lead to mismatched performance, out-of-tolerance dimensions, and delayed delivery. Below are the four core aspects to specify.

    1. Performance Requirements & Magnet Grades

    First, confirm the magnet grade or key parameters: Remanence (Br), Intrinsic Coercivity (Hcj), and Maximum Energy Product (BHmax).If the grade is unknown, provide supporting data such as surface gauss, pull force, magnetic flux, or working temperature. Also clarify temperature coefficients and thermal ratings based on the application environment.

    2. Shape, Dimensions & Magnetization Direction

    Clearly state shape, dimensions and tolerances. For complex special-shaped magnets, CAD drawings are strongly recommended.You must specify: magnetization direction, magnetization angle, multipole magnetization, radial or axial magnetization to prevent failure due to wrong orientation or magnetization.

    3. Surface Treatment Requirements

    Surface treatment affects rust resistance, salt spray performance and service life. Specify:

    • Coating process: electroplating, electrophoresis, epoxy, vapor deposition
    • Coating material: Ni, Zn, Cu, epoxy, etc.
    • Coating thickness and salt spray test standard

    4. Appearance, Packaging, Delivery & Mass Production

    Define appearance standards for burrs, chamfers, and color tolerance. Confirm packaging and shipping requirements.Standard magnets have shorter lead times, while special and custom magnets require mold development and longer production time. Rush orders must be confirmed in advance.
