  • Oblique Magnetization: Special Magnetization Method for Multipole Magnetic Rings

Oblique magnetization is a special magnetization method for multipole magnetic rings. Many people ask: Can magnets be magnetized obliquely? Today we will introduce this special oblique magnetized magnet and see how its magnetic poles are distributed.

Conventional ring magnets generally adopt axial magnetization or radial magnetization, while the special magnet in our hand has an arc-shaped curved structure, similar to a tire hub. Observing its side, the magnetic poles are distributed obliquely, with N pole on one side and S pole on the other side, and still maintain oblique arrangement after rotation, with a common angle of 45°.

Another paired magnet also adopts oblique magnetization, and its surface magnetic field can reach more than 4,000 gausses after testing. The outer side is N pole, and the inner same position is S pole. This magnetization method is called radial orientation oblique magnetization. After counting, such magnets are usually 8-pole magnetization.

The NS poles of ordinary radial ring magnets alternate vertically, and the magnetic field is vertically inward; while the oblique magnetization ring has an arc structure, the magnetic poles are obliquely distributed at 45°, which is obviously different from vertical magnetization.

Oblique magnetization is mainly determined by the working state of the magnetic field. Such products are mostly used in magnetic wheels. Magnetic wheels need one end to drive the other end to rotate continuously. Vertical magnetization has weak driving effect. Oblique magnetization allows the driving end to rotate smoothly and push the driven end to rotate synchronously, which is more suitable for magnetic transmission scenarios.

Magnetic transmission can reduce direct friction of mechanical gears without lubrication; at the same time, a certain distance can be maintained between magnets, which is convenient for anti-corrosion and sealing treatment on one end, effectively solving industry pain points such as friction and sealing.

Oblique magnetization magnets are professional and precise in application scenarios, and are key magnetic components in precision transmission and sealing equipment.
